Twice a year with its “Pick” awards, Buyers Laboratory (BLI) gives special recognition to the hardware and software products that provided the most outstanding performances in BLI’s unique evaluations. BLI just announced its Summer 2013 Picks last week, and two Lexmark families of printers have been deemed worthy of this designation.
The Lexmark MX812 series of monochrome multifunction products (MFPs) and Lexmark CS510 series of color printers were given top honors.
According to BLI, “Only the very best are chosen to receive these prestigious awards. To see if a product has what it takes, BLI conducts a rigorous evaluation that looks at such key factors as reliability, image quality, productivity, ease of use, value and more, and selects only those at the top of their class.”
We talked with Brian Henderson, Lexmark director of Worldwide Product Marketing, and asked him what these significant awards mean to Lexmark.
On the BLI Summer Pick for Monochrome Printers and MFPs: “The Summer Pick for Monochrome Printers and MFPs award from BLI further demonstrates Lexmark’s technology leadership in the industry, especially with our smart MFPs,” said Henderson.
“The MX812 was designed to be an alternative to A3 (11-inch x 17-inch) devices. Garnering this designation from BLI gives us third-party validation that this model is a departmental workhorse. When adding the solutions capability and integration of these devices into our content and process management suites, the value to a customer’s business performance is unparalleled.”
On the BLI Summer Pick for Color Printers and MFPs: “With our new product announcement in the fall of 2012, including the CS510 series, we advanced our ability to bring enterprise-class capabilities, robustness and security to our small workgroup devices,” said Henderson.
“Bringing the capability of a large workgroup device into a small footprint for our customers is evidence of the innovation that Lexmark brings to the market.
